IRS Tax Benefits for Parents of Kids with Special Needs
posted by admin in Special Needs NewsThere’s one week to go before you must file your 2008 IRS tax return. I usually don’t get much good news around tax time, but a friend shared some information with me about possible savings that I have to pass along. Did you know that families of children with special needs can deduct costs for medical expense, therapy, transportation, equipment, special schooling and more? Here’s the article my friend shared, “Tax Strategies for Parents of Kids with Special Needs.” It was written a year ago and it appears on the Talk About Curing Autism website. Also, I found another interesting article about eligibility for tax benefits for parents of children with learning disabilities that was published by Schwab Learning and shared here at Great Schools, Inc.
