Sometimes, do you feel that you are expecting too much from your child with special needs?  Do you ever feel that you are letting other people influence your responses to your child’s challenges or behavior outbursts?  If so, you are not alone feeling this way.  We, parents of children with special needs, are travelling along a unique path and sometimes hearing from other parents about their personal experiences helps.  So, today I share with you this mom’s story about her night out dining with her seven children, including her son with autism.  It’s called, Expecting too Much.

Editor’s note: This story is being shared as part of our efforts to support Autism Awareness during the month of April .  If you are writing about autism in April, please send us your stories and we will publish them during April.
