June 27 10 The College Living Experience (CLE) Summer Program in Denver, CO

Cost: $5,000 covers housing, meals, tuition and recreational activities. Students are responsible for their transportation to and from Denver and for their spending money of $50 per week.

Event Details

The 2010 CLE Summer Program for students with special needs held in Denver, CO, will offer a preview of independent living in a college environment, with intensive support to build academic, social and independent living skills for college and life. A 3 week summer program for high school seniors and graduates with Asperger’s, autism, ADD and learning disabilities where students attend classes and learn to use adaptive technology,learn to advocate for themselves as soon to be college students,take intro to college classes, review math and english, and take a variety of introductory noncredit courses to introduce academic and career possibilities. Students receive help with social skills and social skills practice. Students will get chores, including laundry, with CLE staff assistance.
