Question: I have a 7 y/o son diagnosed with ADHD and learning delayed. I would like to find a camp or resource that can provide some help with getting some academic skills in place and increase his confidence. I am afraid that he will be dismissed during the school year, rather than attende to, so I want to give him as much support as I can whilebefore school kicks in. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. He loves music and would love for him to take lessons but I need a resource that is patient and understands some about ADHD, behavior and development concerns. Please e-mail me at: doctora@platicasymas.com Thanks, Selia

Hi Selia, Have you tried addaustin.com? Roberta Tsukahara, Ph.D, owns this practice group. She and her group offer therapy and resources for kids with ADD and ADHD. Also, you might contact Albertson's Music School or a music therapist about adaptive music lessons.

Occupational therapy could be a great answer (if you have medical insurance that will cover it). Get a prescription for an evaluation from your pediatrician. We had OT at Little Tesoros Therapy Services 248-2422.
