Question: I am a mother of a 6 year old daughter who has ADHD and ODD and an 8 year old son who has ADHD , Bipolar and FAS. My children are currently not on medication due to difficulty finding a decent doctor that accepts Medicaid. I am a CNA that also takes care of my husband on disability and I really need so help. Hi Mom, I noticed two resources on the site that might help with your needs. I do not have personal experience with either provider. Look at the Williamson County resource at http://www.specialneedsneighborhood.com/welcome/view_cat/34. Also, see the Finders/Keepers resource at http://www.specialneedsneighborhood.com/welcome/resource_view/360. Also, have you contacted the Specially For Childrens medical group at Dell Childrens? One of their neurologists may accept Medicaid. Hope this helps.

Hi...I am the owner of Findersandkeepers.org....Dr. Karnik at Specially for Children is board certified in neurology and psychiatry. It's a long wait to get in, but he takes Medicaid and is very up-to-date on treatments. His nurse's name is Tina. Try him...tell her Bonne Sandars sent you.
