Question: My son is 23. He has Asperger's and receives SSI and Medicaid. His Medicaid is Star-Plus/Evercare HMO. He needs a general dentist and an oral surgeon who take Medicaid. So far, our only option is a county clinic and the wait time for an appt. is 3-4 months!!! He needs his wisdom teeth removed. He has good teeth and I have been paying out of pocket for his routine, twice a year checkups. I can't afford to pay for wisdom teeth removal. The Scirex research study group won't take him. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks, JO

Did you ever find an oral surgeon for your son? Paul Casmedes MD works with many special-needs patients and children and also has a special needs daughter. Hope this helps!
