Question: Volunteers needed for Town and Country Optimist Club Christmas Tree Sale - Once again this year the folks that Miracle League for special needs children will be helping the downtown Austin Optimist Club sell Christmas trees at the lot located at Lamar and San Gabriel, just south of 29th Street. - The Christmas tree lot is open from 1:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. weekdays, and 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. weekends. Proceeds from sales of Christmas trees and wreaths benefit T&C and many other Austin youth service organizations. T&C are the folks responsible for MIRACLE LEAGUE, a Baseball league for special needs kids between the ages of 4 and 19. Look for our T&C volunteers when you visit the lot. If you are interested in volunteering to work at the tree lot please contact the T&C office at 331-0438.
