Question: I am seeking ideas and advice. I am a credentialed special education teacher who is burnt out on the pubilc system of Special education. However, I do not want to give up teaching. I love helping children learn and succeed. Does anyone know of private schools, homeschool situations, or other options for working with special needs children? I am fluent in ASL, and have experience and references. Thank you

The Rise School of Austin was looking for a teacher for its 3 year old class. The classes are a mixture of special needs and typically developing children. Brenda Davis, Speech/Language Pathologist BD Therapy

Are you still seeking? We are exploring options for our 6 years old son with autism. We (parents) are deaf, but he is hearing. Our priority is that the instruction incorporates both, ASL and spoken English. If you are interested, please contact me at meikennedy(at)hotmail.com. Thanks.
