Dr. Onan is excellent and my daughter loves her! She’s board certified in opthalmology and really knows her stuff. She is able to get a thorough exam done, even with young, scared, active kids. She has a busy practice so getting an appointment can take months and sometimes you can have a 1 hour wait in her office because so many patients are booked...BUT, she’s worth the wait. www.eyeassociates.us

Out family is very disappointed by the way we were treated by Dr. Onan. We usually wait for hours before she saw us, we always needed to remind her what she needed to do or check for, for example: Aren't you going to meausure his cataract, or dilate his eyes?, etc. Last time we saw her, we were waiting for ours, when she finally saw us, she saw us for 10 min. after I reminded her of what to check for on my son, she said she did not have time because she had to pick up her daughter! I find that very unprofessional and not compassionate about her patients. Finally, when I complaint to the office manager, I received a letter form her saying that she would like to terminate the doctor/patient relationship with my son, she did not stated the reason on her letter. I can only guess she did not like I spoke up about her treatment. My son is 8 years old and has several issues with his eyes, but she did not care. Our loved ones deserve the best care, that is why I am going to keep looking to find a doctor who really cares.

Dr. Onan has been seeing my son since he was 3 1/2 (he is 9 now). He loves her even though she is very busy and we do wait at times (mainly for the dialtion meds to take effect). Her waiting room has toys and a tv that keep him occupied, and we can even turn the lights low so that his eyes do not hurt when dilated. She has always been very thorough and concise and keeps me updated on his treatment plan. I also have the privelege working with Dr. Onan in the area NICUs when she come to see her tiniest patients. She has a very caring approach to her work even though she is a very busy lady!
