R.O.C.K. is a NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped Association) Premier Accredited Center that offers several equine-assisted opportunities for students of all ages with cognitive, physical, emotional, behavioral, and social needs. The Therapy Clinic at R.O.C.K. provides physical, speech and occupational therapy on horseback, utilizing a treatment strategy called hippotherapy. R.O.C.K. also offers therapeutic and sports riding, including opportunities for participation in the R.O.C.K. Rodeo, Top Hands Horse Show in Houston, and Special Olympics. Group and private lessons are available in a covered arena with NARHA certified instructors. Educational programs are offered as well, in partnership with local youth agencies and school districts, that incorporate the horse as part of the learning experience. Field trips to R.O.C.K. are also available, providing a glimpse of the wide range of services and opportunities offered, as well as a “Meet and Greet” with the horses living and working at R.O.C.K. Additional information can be found at www.rockride.org.

We love the R.O.C.K. The facility is so nice, nothing like a barn. Comfortable and well appointed enclosed areas for families to relax during services. The instruction is excellent. Miss Chris takes the time to address self-help skills and motivate positive decision-making and independence around each task. She generously encourages feedback and implements suggestions so that my daughter has a unique and rewarding time. My daughter feels successful at the R.O.C.K.
