Hello! My name is Dustin Smith and i am a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist working in the Austin area. I have a Master’s Degree in Rec. Therapy from Texas State and i specialize in using Outdoor Recreation/General Recreation as therapy for People with Disabilities. My main focus is in providing Outdoor Recreation (hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, camping, rock climbing, and kayaking) as therapy for People with Disabilities in order to increase their physical, social/emotional, and cognitive skills. I also provide recreational opportunities for a myriad of interests (music, art, sports-games, leisure activities). Each client is different and i can provide services based on individual interests and goals. I work with people of all ages so if you or a loved one is interested in receiving a one-on-one, hands on recreational therapeutic experience please don’t hesitate to give me a call. I work on a sliding scale to fit most budgets. I am passionate about working with people with disabilities and i truly believe in the power that recreation holds in improving their quality of life.
