Accessible Housing Austin! is the first City of Austin certified Community Housing Development Organization that operates in all parts of the city to serve the disability community.
AHA! is dedicated to the creation of affordable, accessible and integrated housing by and for low-income individuals and families who have members with disabilities and their supporters.
Securing housing that meets the needs of individuals and families creates stable communities and fosters community integration of people with disabilities. AHA! ensures its rents are affordable for people relying on Supplemental Security Income and Social Security Disability Insurance.
AHA! has experience in creating high quality housing that is accessible to all people with physical, cognitive, visual and hearing disabilities that is affordable to individuals and families relying solely on disability benefits for income.
Meeting the needs of individuals on low, fixed incomes can only be accomplished by working with a broad coalition of community members, nonprofit organizations, public entities and private donors.
