Community Living Assistance and Support Services (CLASS) provides home and community based services to people with related conditions as a cost effective alternative to placement in an intermediate care facility for persons with mental retardation or a related condition (ICF-MR). The CLASS interest list is 1-877-438-5658. You are never to young or too old to be on the list so don’t delay your call and remember to update your contact information should it change. This is a State wide Interest list. CLASS is funded by Title XIX (Medicaid) which allows the Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) to provide services not available under the regular Medicaid program. A related condition is a disability, other than mental retardation, that orginated before the age of 22 and that effects the ability to function in daily life.
