I am an attorney in Austin, and the parent of a 14 year old with autism and a 16 year old with cerebral palsy. I can assist families with special children in the following ways:
estate planning and special needs trusts, which allow families to provide money for care and comfort without jeopardizing eligibility for government programs such as medicaid and CLASS
service to special children over the age of 18 who are competent to make decisions, by providing powers of attorney and other documents that will allow their parents or other trusted person to assist them without having to go through a guardianship
assistanct with special education issues in the schools
