Music Spring Course for Children with Developmental Delays
The goal of the program is to share music in a patient and reassuring manner that is easily understood by our children (i.e. songs that use repetitive vocabulary, picture schedule, slowing down, etc.). As a parent, you will gain informal social support through the sharing of experiences with individuals in similar situations. In addition, a social story will be provided to better assist our children in the transition to Heartsong Music. Our teacher Vanessa is extremely gifted in guiding parents and children in musical fun and learning!
I am helping Heartsong Music to find more people for our course. My daughter Nora is autistic. She attended Summer, Fall and Winter courses and they were fantastic. There is a big visual helper on the wall to explain what is coming next. The children like to interact with the parents and play with all the instruments. They enjoy listening to all the songs. Each song of the program has a specific purpose. Also typical developted siblings are welcome.
The course is designed for children under 6. The class will be at 3:15 on Thursdays from April 2th to June 4th.
