My son has autism and is learning to swim with help from a great swim coach, Andrea Thompsen. I highly recommend Andrea—she has experience teaching children with autism and other special needs, has great patience and compassion, and her qualifications are outstanding. Andrea coaches swimming at St. Andrew’s in Austin and she is a former coach of Dallas Aquatic Masters, a veteran schoolteacher with a B.S. in Elementary Education, and a former member of the Women’s Swim Team at Indiana University.
