WAYA Champ’s League program manager is Courtney Houston. WAYA’s Champs League is open to all children with disabilities of ANY KIND between the ages of 4-18. It is a league for participation and team spirit, not for competition. Some of the sports that children experience include kickball, soccer, bowling, volleyball, basketball and tball. All the kids get a chance to try at their own motor skill level with a volunteer “buddy” helping them out along the way. At the end of each league, there is a very nice ceremony where every child gets a trophy. Everyone is made to feel very welcome.
